[TRANS] 101214 Tohoshinki to Sing Theme Song for Fuji TV's Drama
On the 23rd of last month, the shocking news that the "new" Tohoshinki would be making a comeback next January was made; and now, their new song will become the theme song for a drama.The new song, named "torn", is described to portray the gloomy torn feelings in a tangled relationship between a man and a woman. They commented, "It is a powerful dance song that you will be able to enjoy." Although the number of their members has been reduced from 5 to 2, they will not let if affect them in order to come up with the song and to show the audience a powerful stage. With powerful beats, the partial lyrics of the song is revealed, "Is love a crime? Is pain a punishment?". They expressed, "Please expect us to show you our tough and manly side."
The producer of the drama, Toyofuku Youko, personally chose the song for the drama. The drama is titled "Utsukushii Rinjin" (Beautiful Neighbor). In this drama, actress Nakama Yukie will portray an evil woman, while her co-star Dan Rei will be playing the character of a happy housewife who lives next door; and this suspense drama is about how their quiet everyday life is destroyed. Since this story is about woman vs. woman, to avoid creating an overly sweet atmosphere, the producer interfused the world of this drama with a song sung by male vocals.
Upon learning about their comeback, producer Toyofuku immediately offered them the chance. She expressed her thoughts upon listening to the song for the first time, "It is a very thorny and captivating song that captures the instinct of a woman such as jealousy, love and passion. It portrays perfectly the poison that every woman carries, and I immediately thought that it was the one."
The drama will air every Tuesday 10pm starting from January 11.

[NEWS] 101210 JYJ's Junsu Cast in Leading Role for Musical "Tears of Heaven"
JYJ’s Junsu will be heading overseas next for the Great White Way, as he’s been casted for a leading role in the Broadway musical, “Tears of Heaven“.
Considered to be the ambitious work of Seol Company’s CEO, Seol Do Yoon, and Core Content Media’s Kim Gwang Su, the production revolves around a love triangle set during the Vietnam War between a Korean soldier, a female Vietnamese singer, and an American officer. Junsu has been casted for the role of ‘Jun Hyung’, the Korean soldier that falls in love with the Vietnamese singer, ‘Lin’. ‘Jun Hyung’ later becomes a famous composer and the father to his daughter that he had with Lin.
Seol Company reportedly set aside $10 million USD for production costs alone. The musical is scheduled to open for December 27th in Korea, and will run for a month there before being taken overseas to Japan and Europe. A performance in the States by 2012 has been pinned as their ultimate goal.
Representatives of Seol Company revealed on December 10th, “We cannot give a confirmation statement right now regarding the cast line-up. All final casting decisions will be made public at the production conference to be held on the 13th. By February, this musical will be performed all over Asia, including Japan and Hong Kong. The ultimate goal is Broadway.”
Composer Frank Wildhorn of “Dracula” and “Jekyll & Hyde” will be producing the songs, while Junsu will be working alongside Broadway star Brad Little.
