At the 24th Golden Disk Awards held on the 24th by the Japanese Records Association, Big Bang won the 'The Best 5 New Artists' award and TVXQ won the international 'The Best Music Video award' for their 'All About TVXQ season 3'.
The Japanese Golden Disk Awards gives awards out based on album sales in Japan. Begun in 1987, it is a prestigious awards show that has been continuing for 24 years.
With 2.44 million copies of their single and 1.77 million copies of their album sold as well as 3.06 million downloads, popular Japanese group Arashi won awards in 10 categories including "Best Single Award" and the "Best Album Award", as well as the most prestigious "Best Singer Award".
